Advanced Clinician Scientist Program iIMMUNE_ACS
Recent years have seen groundbreaking advances in immunomedicine, including immunotherapies for cancer, inflammation and infection. In order to bring the latest scientific knowledge in immunomedicine to patients quickly, research, teaching and patient care must be closely linked. Excellent physicians who work in both patient care and research play a decisive role in this. The BMBF-funded Advanced Clinician Scientist Program iIMMUNE_ACS (Interfaces in Immunomedicine) at the University Hospital Erlangen, Germany, offers ten research physicians the opportunity to conduct a research project in the field of immunomedicine and to receive training in patient-oriented immunomedicine at the German Centre for Immunotherapy (DZI). The funded Advanced Clinician Scientists (ACS) will contribute to the development of innovative diagnostic and therapeutic strategies in immunomedicine for autoimmune, inflammatory, infectious, degenerative and oncological diseases.
