Extraordinary Professorship for Martin Regensburger
In recognition of his outstanding achievements in research and teaching, our ACS Martin Regensburger has been awarded an early appointment as an extraordinary professor by FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg. This underscores the importance of his research focus: neurodegenerative diseases such as ALS and Parkinson’s. As an Advanced Clinician Scientist, he applies the results of his research directly to clinical care at the University Hospital Erlangen through translational approaches. Congratulations, Martin – the whole iIMMUNE team is delighted for you!

It was a wonderful opportunity for exchange, featuring very interesting presentations and stimulating discussions. Many thanks to the coordinators from Essen and Würzburg for the excellent organization!

Help after 30 years of tremor
For 30 years, patient Irene F. suffered from essential tremor that could not be treated. In this article from ‘Gesundheit erlangen’, you can read how she is now able to lead a new and largely tremor-free life after two operations and accompanying treatment carried out by our ACS Dr. Franziska Schmidt and Dr. Martin Regensburger. A wonderful story!
